Increase in Household Spending

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) announced in its March 2010 Quarterly Bulletin that household spending increased in the fourth quarter of 2009 by 1.4 percent; showing its first increase in a year-and-a-half and pointing to easing strain on consumers.
