Buddhism in South Africa

In 2003 a study showed that there were about 6 000 Buddhists living in South Africa, just 0.01 percent of the total population of 42 million. Buddhism is the fourth biggest religion - or perhaps more correctly, philosophy, in the world, and there are believed to be over 300 million Buddhists worldwide.
