Handing the job to Thorsten Heins, former Siemens AG executive
Research In Motion’s (RIM) co-CEOs Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie have resigned, handing the job to Thorsten Heins, who joined the company in late 2007.
This is according to TimesLive, who reported that investor pressure had reached an all time high with regard to the co-CEOs.
Investors view Lazaridis and Balsillie’s “domineering presence” as one of the reasons the sale of RIM would prove problematic, leading to a call for a new “transformational” leader who could help steer RIM back towards the cutting-edge image it used to hold.
